I am reading some post about capital one and Walmart layoff but none are in news. Have you heard of it ?
I’m not aware of any layoffs at Walmart
Laid off -- on payroll until oct 1, 20 weeks severance
🫂
20 weeks is good tho. Good luck man hope you find something soon, and bag that 20 week + sign on from new company.
Not sure what you’re referring to at Walmart. Didn’t hear anything
Capital One had a “layoff”. Basically anyone with two below strong ratings over the last few years were let go. So it was based on performance (kinda) but also kinda a layoff
Performance is 75-25, 75% 🥾👅, 25% performance
Ah, they averaged out performance for consecutive years or something and cut the bottom. If Cap One is still hiring or backfilling then simply they are taking advantage to find better talent except now there will be the next batch...
I have powerday this week. Should I even bother? Sounds like this week's layoffs played out in a really fucked up way.
What do you have to lose?
It’s a good stepping stone but horrible place to work.

Shocking 😳 Traitor Congress politicians claiming that 26/11 terrorists didn't kill Indian policeman Hemant Karkare
it wasn't a layoff. It was just people being fired
A solid 10-15% from what it seems like. It’s a layoff in disguise. C1 doesn’t want news going around that they’re laying people off but the reality is that their BS stack ranking systems is designed to push people out. These aren’t low performers by any stretch, they’re people doing their jobs but one might be on a low visibility project and their “impact” is compared against someone who added a new Hutton button to the website which was clicked 100,000 times in the first week - that sort of BS. If you can’t put a number to an accomplishment, then it’s “BAU” and “BAU” counts for jack shit, even though it’s 60-70% of the work. So yeah, I’d call it a layoff.
In order to survive at any company that pays somewhat decent one needs to be a good sales rep.
