I just learned about the WARN list and wanted to share in case people think they might be affected. According to the list — Splunk will have 174 layoffs on 4/3 Atlassian will have 268 layoffs on 5/5 Waymo - 112 on 5/5 Rivian - 479 on 4/14 Udemy - 74 on 4/14 Source file for full list: https://edd.ca.gov/siteassets/files/jobs_and_training/warn/warn_report.xlsx Definition: Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) “WARN protects employees, their families, and communities by requiring employers to give a 60-day notice to the affected employees and both state and local representatives before a plant closing or mass layoff.“
Believe these are layoffs that have already happened, track back 60 days from those dates.
no, it's upcoming too
So every one of those companies coincidentally had layoffs exactly 60 days before those dates? That would be kind of remarkable.
This is just the ones already informed
Are layoffs happening for google? I did see WARN listings by Google for California; Waymo too.
Bruh these have already been announced
Layoffs after March 10th is the one you should look at. The other layoffs already happened.
This is not upcoming, these are already filed. Usually companies announce the same time they file the notice.
For Cali the latest notices were published 3/9. I saw no new notices after.
Some of these companies have already informed employees. See ‘Notice Date’.
They are required to file the notice 60 days in advance of actually doing any layoffs

Are these already informed and just the last date of employment is mentioned or this will be new layoffs ?
Not sure if the company has informed the employees. (Probably not imo.) The date listed is the “effective date”. I imagine companies will inform their employees about a week in advance.
They are already informed and these days represent last working day for impacted employees
