I’m sure when things get bad they start “planning”. They always have a plan. Question is how many end up executing those plans.
I don’t really believe this in its entirety but I think if it is remotely true, the 15% mandatory tax just passed would be the real reasoning. What do people expect is going to happen? Companies care about bottom line. If that’s taken from them then they will slash costs elsewhere, and it’s almost always people first.

I agree with that sentiment. But also I understand that it’s not other people’s responsibility to worry about your family. It cuts both ways. I think employers shouldn’t hire people without some level of confidence that they can support their salary no matter what (unless extreme scenario like bankruptcy etc).
