Google offered 6 billion dollars to buyout Groupon and they turned it down. It has to be one of biggest mistakes ever keep in mind this was during Great Recession so just imagine..
Year?
2010 IIRC
Why don’t they just close the company? They have been laying off people from last 2 years. This is probably 3rd or 4th time in 2 years.
There are investors gull able enough to keep throwing money at it. Stock went up 34% this year
Stock is down 4% ytd, 25% past 6 months, 72% over the last 12 months.
Why was the stock trading in 50s in 2019? Was it because of anticipated deal? It’s not like sales changed much from 2019 to now.
it was in 50s because of the reverse split, it reached ~$1.5 during covid, followed by another reverse split.
Honestly why does this company still exist?
Some coupons are pretty good
The companies pay the price for Groupon. As a salon owner, we dont use them. It attracts the absolute WORST kind of client, with the most complaints with lowest quality, lowest tips, lowest expefience for my staff, other customers, and very often a loss for my company. I stopped using them years ago, as have most owners in my area, and we actively warn new comers from using it
