Anyone familiar with this position? I'm looking at one of their government affiliated roles for this position, not sure what to think of it. Doesn't seem like a true SWE role, which is what I'm after. Thanks! TC: 73k yoe: ~1.5 #c3ai #ai #openai
Sales Engineers make bank but they require a lot of experience - you literally have less than 2 years of working experience
C3 Solution Engineers are more engineering focused than sales. It is a role with a good amount of accountability and growth potential - but C3 sucks the souls out of people (speaking from experience). Get in, learn a lot, and leave within two years would be my advice.
It might suck your soul out of you but they’ll pay you way more than Lockheed will
This is a Sales Engineer role. Usually don’t hire people with 1.5 years of experience since the company is putting them in front of customers
What’s the difference between SWE and Sales Engineer?
Sales engineers sell to the enterprise. They have excellent communication and presentation skills. They understand their product and also competitors product. Their job is to create value proposition for their customers. Convince potential customers why their product is better compared to their competitor. This means they need to understand customers business need and be able to map that to their own product. They usually do not write code.
