Hi everyone! I have an upcoming Data Engineer interview (Phone round) with Amazon. I've been told by a recruiter that it'll be mostly SQL, Data modeling and Python (DE related so no Algo). Can someone who knows the process or been through one guide me with the proper approach and resources? I have limited time for prep since it's pretty soon. If someone can share some example questions that has been asked in prior interviews would be gold! Thanks y'all TC: 🥜 (below 6 figures) YOE: 3

Hi, how was your interview? What were the questions like?
Hi, how was your interview? Can you please share your experience?
I had a Sr. BI role loop recently, so it might be similar exercises. Talk through each step, and ask for any clarifications. Make it a conversation. SQL: Know window functions. That's about as difficult as it got. I think there were 4 questions for me, starting with a very simple output to a few joins, CTEs, and window functions. Data Modeling: yours will likely be more in-depth here than mine. Mine was a fairly simple exercise to create a data model for their warehouse Python: I was expecting a pandas question, but I think they asked me to write a function to find out if the input is a palindrome. It was super easy, but you may get a data analysis question with pandas. There should also be an LP? Your recruiter should be able to tell you the 5 or 6 to focus on for this round.
