Key take aways, - they don’t want to grants too much stock at the low price - they don’t want to commit for high TC for 2025 for high performers - amzn is only locking in the next year TC based on performance this year. So all this just means that you only make high TC consistently if you are a high performer every year. Amazon has lot of control to bring down TC if they want to.

Makes sense considering that base pay caps were raised a short while ago. Not to mention the unregretted attrition in the past ~year attributed to, or self reported by unregretted attrition individuals as, dissatisfaction with comp decreases due to the decreased stock price.
