If you want less competition (less number of people with yeah…yeah…I know that attitude in the room), chance to show off your AMZN magic tricks (templates, product thinking, talk) gain people’s trust/confidence quickly (at least in the in the short term), relatively relaxed life (doesn’t mean you won’t work on the weekends at Expedia but you will for an hour or 2), then Expedia. That show off/gaining people’s confidence are important for career growth If you still have the Ammo to work the hours, compete fiercely, keep your brand name then AMZN. Layoffs is anybody’s guess at both places on that you have to research with the team members/leaders on both sides to assess what is stable. Again that doesn’t mean layoffs won’t happen at least you did what you could for decision making

Comments vs Poll. Such a mixed story. Thing is people, I am not that happy with Amazon. My previous manager screwed my Forte. So while I can survive, chance to be promoted has taken a step back. Also, dont have any stocks next year so pay drops by 30% next year. What would you recommend now?
There will always be challenges and politics at any job/company. Just have to adapt and keep moving. Honestly Expedia is a lot more relaxed than Amazon in terms of WLB. My suggestion is take the offer(good offer). I am of the opinion that instead of negotiating on the current offer negotiate on 4 weeks paid time off officially. Unofficially no one tracks vacation at EG.

Not true. Expedia was one of the only companies that didn't do layoffs during the pandemic. Layoffs can happen anywhere, but saying Expedia does it frequently is false.
