I’m so bored in my role. Pay is good but brain cells are dying. Feeling stuck. Too much politics and incompetent people. Have the option to join a series A start-up. Feeling super energized and interested, but never worked for startups before. Also, have a small child, if matters at all. People who went to start-ups from big tech, how do you like it ?
Haha. Startups also have….politiks :3
No, not worth it, IMO your move should be upwards to bigger companies as you age.
Block is not big tech bro
Series A startup with a child isn’t something I’d recommend. Was at a series A, stressful AF and can’t imagine doing it with a child. Startups are getting slaughtered right now due to funding drying up and high interest rates. Good find your fulfillment in your family. Boring is good in this current market.
Try series C+ startups. You will do meaningful work but the funding at series C is large enough that the company doesn't really have liquidity issues.
Any good startups? Also, how do you apply to apply to such places?
