Leaving Google for Cisco
Currently an L4 at Google. I go up for L5 promo in 6 months on the condition I finish up my current project. However, what's the point? Cisco is making me an offer for technical lead that's much more base and equity than Google L5... and way less work than Google. Also remote so I can travel. I really see no downsides with this move. Thoughts? TC: 260k Cisco TC: 430k

It wouldn’t hurt to try it out and worst case boomerang back to G? The downside is you would boomerang back as L4 instead of L5 though.
fuck up your promo on purpose but not too obviously, take the Cisco job and do OE
I was thinking OE. Both jobs would be less work than 40hr a week.
