Leetcode bar for companies

I am preparing for interviews and wanted to get some idea as where do I stand. So will appreciate if someone could clarify leetcode bar for different companies. I am measuring it in time required to solve different complexity leetcode problems and I am dividing companies in different categories Like, Category0(Airbnb, netflix etc).: Hard 30m, medium: 15mins, No easy asked. Category1(Google, Facebook, Uber etc): hard 45mins, medium 25mins, no easy asked Category2(LinkedIn, Apple, Amazon etc): no hard, medium 30mins, Easy 10mins. Category3(salesforce, Walmart labs etc): no hard, 40mins medium, 20mins easy. Suggest if you do not agree with my categorization. [Note - this is what I think but I am looking for feedback from candidates who have actually interviewed there.]

I did like 8 leetcode easy problems, looked up solutions to half of them, passed the phone screen for a Category 3 type company and going to onsite. 🙃

Why Airbnb is so hard, I think FANG should be the hardest ones

My problem with coding tests is that its based on calculus, which I kinda failed, or I get nervous, fall asleep or freeze up 😂 The last test I fell asleep in I did really well tho... 🤔

None of leetcode are calculus dude.

What the time complexity of fibonacci recursive solution?

eBay Confusedd Jul 13, 2018

Thanks for creating this post. I always wanted to see what kind of questions these companies ask.

Why do you think Airbnb’s interviews are harder than F/G? This is the first time I’ve heard that.

Microsoft qbys57 Jul 13, 2018

I heard Airbnb was easier

Microsoft JobSearc OP Jul 13, 2018

Afaik Airbnb bar is very high.

GE Listener7 Jul 13, 2018

Thats a good segregation and i think it reflects expectations fir phone screen from an interviewr.

This is my "assumption" and I am asking for data from people who have actually interviewed in these companies. Looking for onsite.

Intuit poirot Jul 13, 2018

Is this for phone screens or onsite?

Netflix doesn’t even ask leetcode questions. How did you come up with this categorization? Did you interview at all of these companies? Or just making guesses on Blind?

Zynga Hola123 Jul 14, 2018

I doubt they actively keep checking leetcode to make sure they don't ask questions that show up there.

Microsoft JobSearc OP Jul 14, 2018

Categorization is based on bits and pieces of knowledge I have from different sources like, friends, blind, Tc, past prob etc. Well I am not expecting companies to ask same questions from leetcode, but we can compare the question bar with leetcode questions.

Amazon BeerRaiser Jul 14, 2018

Airbnb is definitely harder than FANG.I have interviewed with all of them

eBay Confusedd Jul 14, 2018

Is OP correct in categorization per Leetcode difficult?

Microsoft JobSearc OP Jul 14, 2018

Great, can you give your inputs on leetcode difficulty?

Amazon BeerRaiser Jul 14, 2018

So my ranking would be something like this in decreasing order of difficulty as you go down: Airbnb, Uber, Google, Netflix, Fb, Amazon Apple, LinkedIn, Walmart Though the above ranking has nothing to TC.

Amazon BeerRaiser Jul 14, 2018

And you can add MSFT on the last line

Microsoft JobSearc OP Jul 14, 2018

But can you quantify it like I did in terms of leetcode difficulty and time?
