Hey, I am current in my student visa working full-time as part of my STEM extension in the US. I am interested in generating some form of passive income. I came across p2p lending through platforms like Lending Tree. I tried searching online regarding eligibility for a non-immigrant to lend money through p2p, no luck finding anything meaningful. I don't even know if it's legally possible to do this. Can anyone recommend some sources regarding this or share your experience? #passiveincome #usa #nonimmigrant #lendingtree
Can u loose all ur money in these lending services?
Yes! If you don’t put your earnings back into system then you may experience losses (self experience)
Nope. If you choose reputed platform and dont choose high returns above 10%. Your expectation is to get less than 10% return then you are safe. Try prosper.com, Lendingclub.com.
I'm interested in 10k loan that I am currently paying 16% interest. Would love to consolidate this revolving account and get a lower rate. DM me
Try p2p lending portal and consolidate your loan. Depend upon your score you might get 6-7% lower range, Average 10% and max is 15%.
Try prosper.com, Lendingclub.com etc.
Is it valid for h1b guys?
Yes.
Just like stocks.
It's just like investment in the stock market. Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer
It's legal. I have invested in Prosper.com and getting stable returns. Lending tree pass the loan request to other lending company like Prosper.com, Lendingclub.com etc.
