Update: Trans Coworker Stealing Breast Milk
I know Samsung does Eng 1, Eng 2, Senior Eng. What are the pay bands for each level and how many YOE/education does it take for each? What is beyond Senior? TC: 85k (still peanuts) YOE: 2.5 Edu: masters #semiconductor #samsung #Samsungelectronics #compensation
I interviewed for a software position… “Senior Principal” was 350 base, 50% bonus, and some sign-on cash. So in the 500-600k range, maybe higher with the sign-on the first couple years. About half what a similar level (E8??) at a big tech would pay out. Partly because they don’t offer RSUs (only cash) and partly because they aren’t in the Bay Area / Seattle / NYC pay range.
16-17 YoE, bachelors degree in some random unrelated field, coming from big tech
Thanks! I should have specified non software in my post but that is some insane compensation. Just SWE role or something more specialized?
"Staff" is beyond Senior.
Thanks! Anything on pay bands and YOE for eng 2/senior?
If I knew the truth I probably would be paid more sorry. Management keeps it secret.
Sr is 7+ yr experience. Pay range would be 90 to 125K plus 12% bonus target. Beyond Sr is Staff 1 , staff2 then Principle engineer.
Dang that seems really low. A friend of mine got an offer at NXP Austin for base 108k and he had about 3 YOE
This is not right for SAS. With the Feb/March yearly they pushed up the bottom of the bands. Senior Eng was at a range of 100k to 200k. They moved the bottom up to around 120k and gave almost nothing to the senior engineers making more than that already, even if they had double the years of experience and a higher yearly rating.
But the time makes sense coming out with bachelors. Is the time less for PhD and masters?
Beyond Senior, it’s peanuts. You post peanuts TC, you get peanuts answer
Do you know beyond senior, or just a troll?
