Interviewing at Liberty for a DS role. The first screen is with the HM and all I was told was that it’s going to be “Python modelling capabilities.” What does that mean and what does it entail?
Team and level matters a lot. Could be more or less technical depending on that.
I was told it’s title is ‘analyst2’ for the advanced analytics team
Ah. FYI you’re probably looking at an offer in the range of 124k to 143k base, probably around the 130k mark. There’s a couple orgs that might fit that bill… so good luck! It’ll most likely be some basic Pandas stuff and then building and interpreting a simple predictive model (possibly of your choosing).

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Probably some basics with Tensorflow or scikit where he will give you a dataset and expect you to tests different models and ask you to analyze how they performed relative to each other’s.
Thanks. Is this just a guess, or coming from experience/intel
I’ve never interviewed at Liberty, however I’ve hired ~10 data scientists in the last year and this is what almost everyone does for hiring juniors. There’s no complex problems to solve like in SDE, they’ll judge you on the depth of your understanding of the basics of data science and on your code quality
