After working hard on H1B for 10-15 years, finally got my green card. What’s next? Curious to hear experiences of others who got their green card and how their life changed, if at all! Any suggestions on what to do with the new found freedom? Saved a lot of $$$ with the grind TC 600K NW: 3M #workvisa #h1b #greencard

So you worked 10 years or 15 years? There’s a big difference!
Just gave a range to keep things anon
Don’t worry Amazon, there are thousands like you, nobody cares about identifying you.
Did not tou have to wait 120 years
That’s for people moving now
Would likely have been 40 years (for someone in pd 2013) if not for COVID. COVID closed consulates and those visas were available for those in backlog.
Nothing changed really except that after getting laid off didn’t have to worry about time clock. I guess that’s one good thing but still anxious because of the terrible job market
Yea not worrying about the 60 day counter is a relief!
After 15 years in US lol not worrying about 60 days makes you feel better? Huh?
now you have a green card, you are better than the people that doesn't, you are a whole separate caste, "us green card holder" /s
That could be his car sticker.
Yeah…probably their parents can put a sticker behind their car “Proud mom of a GC holder”
Nothing changed, same projects, same bugs same people. Most terrible- same TC!
How long has it been since you got the card?
2yr

Make sure to surrender it if you plan to leave US. Global taxation 🤮
