Linked in influencers.

I see quite a few people making contents, long posts and even videos on LinkedIn nowadays. Some of them even mention stuff like 100k+ followers, top contributor and so on on next to their LinkedIn title. Whats the grind here? How does being an "influencer" on LinkedIn pay? Do they share ad revenue or something? I get feeling good, but a lot of the new AI content for instance need the person to spend a fair amount of time on this. #linkedin #influencer

They have a service to offer. Resume writer, coach, recruiter... etc

Not always though.

Nobody spends time crafting those posts for no reason. Granted they are annoying at times. They write one sentence per line. Then they skip a line. After every sentence It is so annoying. Anybody know why?? :-)

It’s a side hustle for them to sell their courses, services, etc

Most of the time they don't get shit and do it to stroke their own ego when a bunch of bots and toxically positive sycophants agree with their dumb or obvious takes.

I work with one these LinkedIn influencers, can confirm there's no funnel into any other product they're selling, and they aren't making money off it in anyway. It's just an ego boost for him.
