Move aside, there's a new Jihad in town
My wife recently got promoted to Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn. However her total compensation is not at par with what I can see at levels. Average TC on levels is 450K Her Current TC : 330K Her New TC : approx 400K What’s the expected TC at LinkedIn for staff promo?
Lol promos never reach external hires comps irrespective of company
417k is median for staff
New promotions shouldn’t expect to be at midpoint.
What do you mean?
You're starting out in the role so aren't proficient at it and definitely don't have mastery
Looks about right
It’s internal promo, generally always going to make less than a external hire coming in.
Staff is 63-64 at Msft and 330k-400k is already far more than what Seniors make here. Those numbers are likely skewed by incumbents who made bank from the acquisition.
Yeah Msft pays less. I figured that out when I was interviewing.
