LinkedIn SWE compensation
I have 2 yoe. Looking for TC range and possibly the breakdown for SWE Sunnyvale. Current offers: Amazon 212k Seattle Bloomberg 198k NYC
I think you can get around 150k/200k/25k plus 10% target bonus for a SWE. That is about 240k first year and 215k second year.
I think 140K base, 200K stock, 25k sign on sounds reasonable from LinkedIn
Isnt $140k base for someone with 2 yoe pretty high? Or does LinkedIn traditionally give higger bases? I fell ariund $125k base pretty reasonable, but seeing yhe replies here, looks like LI pay is probably better or matches top FB/Goog pay as far as the base is concerend. I say this after getting to know base salalries paid by goog to enginets with ~ 5 years of experience.
At Microsoft I got 139K base after 2 years out of college
Does the Amazon tc include signon? What is the sustained tc after 1st year?
The way comp is structured it will be 212 for 2 years and then 208 for 3rd and 4th But there is base increase after 1st year so 3rd and 4th year shouldn’t go below 212 But yes, it includes everything
thats a sweet ass tc then. If you feel like you can grind it at Amazon, i say take it. I have 3 yoe and got an offer from aws that was lower than this (albeit in a low col). Ended up going to Google though.
