Hello Community, I have my onsite interview for SWE position coming week. I have been going through grokking for the system design. I felt very hard understanding proximity server and uber design. My question is how deep or how tough system design round going to be? Any suggestions for preparation would help. update: linkedin interview has system design round even for entry level Thanks in advance YOE: 1

Do you mean to say new grads and entry level has no place in linkedIn?
Not very tough.

can you eloborate your comment?
System design with only 1 YOE? Good luck In seriousness, any interview question and interviews can be on the easier or harder side. Maybe you’ll get something easier. But for a serious system design question, might be a little tough for you. Don’t mean that in a demoralizing way, but rather in a “be ready for what’s coming” way

Also checkout https://courses.systeminterview.com/courses/system-design-interview-an-insider-s-guide . This the web version of Alex Xu Sysytem Design Interview book. It does not cover proximity question, but it gives you a different perspective to solve Systems interview questions. It is worth the cost in my opinion.
Thank u so much
For 1 year exp there shouldn't be too hard a question asked in general. just relax. it won't be tough.
Thanks for the reply. Its a sort of little relief.
