Hello Blind, I got an interview call for LinkedIn Staff Role based out of Bangalore, India. I see a lot of posts on blind about PIP culture in LinkedIn, and bad WLB. Is this true in all teams in Bangalore? What all other benefits are there in LinkedIn ? Current TC: 65L Base + 45L Stocks per year + Adobe ESPP benefits of 2 year lock in. Role - Sr Cs with 13 years YOE Reason for looking out: Technical and Professional growth stagnant in adobe, Salary growth also not much so was thinking of lateral jump to alleviate the base component atleast. #LinkedIn #Microsoft #Adobe #Staff #tech
I recently came to know that LinkedIn now have a quota for PIP. Earlier it was not there. Pls confirm again with some engg manager or above working at LinkedIn.
Can one ask this in interview?
Can confirm
If you are in a comfortable place in Adobe, I would suggest to skip LinkedIn at the moment. Current phase linkedin is going through is rough. Pips, layoff fears, politics, cultural nose dive, budget cuts etc. LinkedIn might still be better than lot other companies in Bangalore but not recommended for some small increments in compensation.
Which team/org has the worst culture in Bangalore and why? Because of too much work or leadership issue
Im not in Bangalore, but I can confirm pip quotas and I know a few ppl who made it out of pip and got laid off anyways in the october layoffs. If youre worried about being stagnant, thats another reason not to come here. They basically look for excuses to give you a lower rating here. Many posts internally about people feeling stagnant with their career growth despite working ridiculous hours and weekends. Ive known a staff and a senior who have left for this reason.
Run as far away as you can. You can thank me later.
Run!
You can take a decision yourself but WLB in all teams that are hiring rn is fucked. So either start to deliver immediately after joining or get ready to be put on PIP
