Is it just me or everyone thinks that LinkedIn app is absolute trash. - It has so many bugs - Search is horrible, upto the point that my search results are in different language - Keep getting irrelevant and annoying ads even after reporting multiple times that I am not interested in a specific ad - Ads are always repeated and persisted even through multiple sessions - Home page is just useless, why can’t it filter out content not related to professionalism (for example funny animal videos) so and so forth. Apologies for the rant.
Forgot most annoying part - app does not let you sort by Most Recent
Yeah. My app content is generally 2 weeks old
No the feature is there. It just doesn't work because featured jobs get higher priority over recency 😂
LinkedIn sucks by itself too
They hired mobile engineers based on leetcode. And the gatekeepers there suck. Source : I interviewed there for a mobile position
That would explain it!
Even with that, one can’t suck so much that they can’t give a Top/Recent filter.
i like the part where you go to suggestions of people you may know, and right there at the top is that one person who you worked with years ago and could never find because you couldn't remember how to spell their name, but their thet are this app somehow knew you'd want to talk to them, but then it instantly refreshes without you even touching anything, and they never show up again.
i like how every time people complain about linkedin app, Linkedin guys will just show up and insult the other guys companies and say their hiring bar is better.
It has its flaws, but not for the reasons you mentioned. I prefer it over the crap UI/UX here on Blind.
Blind isn’t a billion $ company.
What's your point?
Can't comment on much of that but I do know there's a frequency capping system that is supposed to prevent you from seeing the same ad too many times. Wonder if advertisers are working around the fcap by creating multiple very similar creatives/campaigns.
Linkedin iOS app has obvious and easily reproducible bugs. They've been there for years unresolved and nobody seems to care
Unsure if it's being on Android but it suuuucks
