LinkedIn behaviors and networking
Curious how people handle incoming LinkedIn in connection requests / messages. What do you do when you get connection requests from someone you dont know ? If someone high up / done “big” things sends you a connection request without a message, but you don’t know them, do you accept it ? Do you respond to all incoming messages regardless of whether you’re looking or not ? What are some of your dilemmas when it comes to LI and what’s your framework ? L7, TC: 500K
It’s just LinkedIn, it’s ok to accept the invite. I don’t get it. What’s the big deal?
Prefer seeing a personal message for me to consider connecting. If it’s personal, I might exchange a message before connecting. I see more salesy requests that come through saying they love what I do/share my mission yet they haven’t viewed my profile. Not someone I would want in my network imo.
It's gotta be a personalized invite that's not selling me on anything in the opening message. I don't accept otherwise.
