LinkedIn cringe about leadership accountability

Disclaimer 1: I am not pro lay-offs. I am pro prudent, realistic planning. Disclaimer 2: Disclaimer 1 is the reason I have missed atleast 2 promotions. So, the world doesn't care about what we think, it works the way it does. I find all the LinkedIn posts clamouring for leadeship accountability so fucking annoying. They are self-serving and shameless virture signaling. The layoffs ARE how leaders are being accountable. Because they are not accountable to employees, they are to shareholders. Their job is not to throw more and more money at employees (yes, I am sour that my TC is not higher), their job is to throw more money at stakeholders. If that means they have to hire like a psychopath for jobs that are not necessary, they will. If that means they have to heartlessly fire all these people, then they will. Did you ask for accountability when you graduated out of college, didn't know how to code shit and got a 300k TC? No. Did virtue signalers complain? No. They do what they had to do and spoke about us getting what we deserve. Ya right. So, please don't buy into it. This is not an expectation from leadership. If it is, you are unrealistic about how the world works. You didn't elect these 'leaders' they cut down everyone around them and got there. Blind tax: TC: 230k (fucking peanuts in a HCOL)
