I am considering a move to LinkedIn and want to know how the day-to-day WLB is. It was advertised that there are a lot of set days off as well as “unlimited” discretionary time off. How many hours are you working per week? Do you ever feel pressure to work night or weekends? Do people realistically end up working on in-days? How much DTO do you take in addition to the set days off? This role will be for a senior SWE and I will be hoping to level up to staff quickly. Current TC: 215k LinkedIn offer: 350k YOE almost 9 #linkedin #wlb #msft #Microsoft
I think it’s about on par with every company I’ve been at (all which also had decent wlb). Blind seems to have a hard on for LinkedIn WLB and I think that’s a little unwarranted - it’s not that it’s bad, but it’s definitely not as good as Blind makes it seem, IMO. Most people are working 40 hours
My buddy works like 10 hours a week
It is very much org + promo dependent. In my org everyone is working their a__ off. Having said that : Nobody works during additional holidays ( one Friday every month), 2 week shutdown or half day Friday’s during summer + at least one week of dto every quarter. In that respect LI is unique compared to my previous employer.
What’s the breakdown of your offer?
