Recently I gave interview at LinkedIn Bangalore and had hard time explaining my solutions to their senior interviewers just because my solutions were different from most voted answers from leetcode (though time complexity was same) Instead of understanding my code to approve or disapprove solution, they preferred to throw some corner test cases with hope that my solution may not work for some Had anybody same experience with LinkedIn Bangalore team?
Happened with me at Goldman.
These experiences are very subjective. I have had different experiences with different teams of the same company. Avoid generalizing so fast
Yes. It happened with me.. A staff engineer asked me leetcode hard.. I coded on paper but he was expecting a different solution. He kept giving corner cases to see if my solution fails. Finally he found a corner case and exclaimed "this will never work" and passed the paper towards me like a boss. I fixed the issue in 2 minutes then was ok but still to end of interview, his expression was like he lost a bet by small margin.
Talk is cheap, show us the code and let blind decide.
Show the code of interview question that was asked at LI?
just... Open a post with q and your answer.... duh......
I had bad experience with LinkedIn USA too. The interviewer asked me to literally speak everything for example how to calculate the distance between two points. And he argued about my coding style. This way we spent 40 mins for problem I could solve within 3 mins. I don’t think dev quality at LinkedIn is the same as it used to be.
Have you used LinkedIn? It’s a reflection of their engineering quality.
Savage...
Lmao. Savage indeed. 😂
