Why people waste their time behind Israel Palestine issues?
I've got an interview lined up with LinkedIn soon. Has anyone interviewed there recently? I'm not sure what to expect, my recruiter didn't give me many details. tax: 160k, 3yoe
➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕
omg I just run to MSFT. At least MSFT has many options of interesting team
Just curious what are your reasons for this switch? From Microsoft to linkedin
My current role/team sucks, so I’m trying to switch. Might just use this for negotiating on a different company. I need to get an offer first.
First make sure LinkedIn actually has role open. There are many ppl like me who interviewed last year and no team match. By the way what level ?
The hayday of LinkedIn is over if you are planning. With 3 YoE good chance you will get downlevel to SWE. Somehow linkedin is in a delusion land about their Sr SWE scope. Definitely good as a backup option though. Also if you are coming here for refreshers dont count on it. But definitely your salary will increase. More like 240-250k. Also layoff & re-org & burnout has become a common theme. Its no where near Amazon toxic but its not also super smooth now.
Don't come to LinkedIn. Highly toxic with no WLB
Linked was great when I was there. Not sure about now.
Second this. I was pushed out by my manager a few months ago and from talking to old co-workers it was a blessing in disguise. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "if you only had been at LinkedIn 3-4 years ago"
LinkedIn is not hiring. If it is - probably to a team which everyone avoids and doesn't even want to do internal transfers. Don't see why they would be looking for someone with just 3.yoe So, either you are just invited to keep the pipeline running, or the team/work will not be better than your current one
I am great but you need to work extremely hard like 60 hours a week!
If you join you would likely regret very soon, dont waste your time and aim higher. Most comments are very good assessment of state of things
Fuck this place yo! Effing Dumpster fire! I’m ready to leave but this market has me 🥵 I won’t recommend this as a good place any longer. FFS, I was at Amazon before but this place is even more tucked up.
youre interviewing with your own company?
Ur that dumb to not know linkedin is just owned by msft but not the same comp?
ur dumb to not know they share the same hr backends
