Here is my unscientific list from Blind company reviews, anecdotal posts on Blind, and Levels data. I'm only interested in companies that have either gone fully remote or they heavily support remote hiring. I tried to avoid companies like Google that could possibly be remote but seems very unlikely/rare. I also tried to group them into four tiers based on compensation data that I've seen. Do you disagree with any of the companies on this list? Do any of the TC estimates look wrong? Any companies that should be added? Let me know and I'll try to keep it updated. Tier 1 TC: - Linkedin - Dropbox - Robinhood - Airbnb - Uber - Coinbase Tier 2 TC: - Twitter - Square - Slack - Indeed - Okta - Atlassian - Splunk Tier 3 TC - Twilio - CrowdStrike - Docusign - Zillow - Spotify - Grubhub - Squarespace - Reddit Tier 4 TC - Vmware
Atlassian could go in Tier 1 comp. I recently discussed comp for a biz Ops role with them which was comparable to Twitter.
Interesting. So they pay really well for non-tech but not quite as good comparably for tech? Makes it tricky to place them since Blind is so heavily focused on tech.
Given FB stock performance recently I guess you're fine freeyolo ๐ wish that I could get in Atlassian too. Resume not picked by the HM this time.
I heard that Twitter is no longer remote first and will open the office effective 3/15. Moving backwards?
This is false. They are opening their offices on March 15th, but no one is required to go in. Source - https://www.theverge.com/2022/3/3/22960529/twitter-return-to-office-work-travel-plan-work-from-home-remote
Yeah I saw the same post, but to me it looks like the new CEO hints that RTO is more effective. Wrong interpretation?
Spotify isn't indefinitely. They did a 1 yr trial. Had us sign some stupid extra contract outlining it would end in a year. Idea is execs wanted to see direction of market before permanently committing to something that could impact their ability to watch us like children.
This is unfortunate. Is there a RTO date for yall yet
I believe we'll hear about one after the big boys get back to their offices and prove no more variants come up.
Amazon has great WLB. ๐
Should Airbnb and Uber go in tier-1
I think Twitter and Robinhood should be swapped TC wise.
Moved Robinhood to t1 and Twitter to t2
Moving from tier 4 to tier 1 ain't too bad.
Splunk is Tier 2.
Moved Splunk up to t2
Is twilio really 9/10 considering tech, opportunities, culture?
Meta? Or are you low on WLB here?
Would you consider Meta WLB good? It always seemed borderline bad to me from what I've seen on Blind. Definitely not Amazon levels of bad but still a bit worse than the others on the list I think?
I've only been here a few months so it's too early to comment. Less than 30 hours a week but I'm still ramping up
