I have applied to some L3 posiitons at LM and so far this company has been the fastest with updating on my application process. Probably because I got a referral. I was told I would be moved to an interview about a week or 2 after applying, but then they haulted the interview proceess for them. Can anyone give me insight to hat I can expect from the interview and response from the others? Also how long did the interim clearenace take? #hiring
Good luck on your interviews, LM is a great place to work. I'm a L3 and my interview was mostly chit chat with a few basic technical questions. Companies that require a clearance don't typically interview candidates that don't have a clearance, so this is a great opportunity for you. I had nothing to self-report and my interim clearance took 2 weeks.
I got the offer after my interview!!!
Congratulations!

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
Timeline can vary a lot. At this point it is very driven by the hiring manager, not the recruiter. It could be that they are just busy, or maybe are questioning whether they actually need to hire, etc. With respect to interview for a L3 individual contributor, the hiring manager has full latitude to ask what they want. Expect anything from chit chat with the hiring manager to technical questions to behavioral interviews with a panel. Very unstructured as to what direction they will take it. After interview, offers usually are a week or two, and after acceptance you can expect something like 4 weeks for background check etc. before starting. Interim clearances are generally fast unless there are some red flags on your record (big debts, bankruptcy, legal troubles, etc.). It probably will not impact your start date as long as you do your side of the process quickly.
Hoepfully student loans dont count. I saw on glassdor they said once you make to the itervieww you are basically home free, just dont screw it up. Sounds good and all.
Student loans should be fine. Interview selectivity is very context dependent. There are times where we are trying to hire so fast that the acceptance rate goes sky high, but other times it will be more balanced and/or selective.
