Hey all, would love advice on how to get through to entry level positions (sub contract/proposal/operations) in the Orlando/Titusville area. I have applied to a few associate positions, and have two non associate roles under review for a while now. Was contacted by a recruiter once to do a screening form but nothing past that stage. I am qualified for the positions I applied to, but not really getting much luck past 2nd stage on sjobs portal. Did interview at Northrop for a PM job previously but I don't have clearance and am automatically out with most of their positions. LM seems to be more open to non-cleared people. BG: I had a long career in education, but successfully transitioned 2 years ago to a remote PM role in proposals and contracts for a midsized DC tech firm. I work in a high intensity, detail and quality focused, commercial team and doing very well, but want to move into the defense industry in the area, particularly LM. Currently also in MBA program at UF to grow my skills and fill knowledge gaps, but not sure that matters to them. Any tips would be great, TIA! If anyone is open to giving a referral, will be more than glad to DM you my qualifications. #defense #operations #contracts #proposals #referral
I'll say they'd value an engineering masters way more than an MBA
What about for finance and business operations? Those are my targets. I don’t have a bg in it so this degree is a knowledge gap filler.
DM for Raytheon, my tip for applying to defense is apply for every positions you can
Do u need to have active clearance?
No
