Why do you care?
Elon is moron who lost 50b because of stupidity and his stock market bump and dump games didn’t work Long term. Folks like him needs to pay taxes
He paid $11bn in taxes last year. Read much?
He avoided 30b from Twitter
You can work on actual innovative real world projects that move mankind forward, or you can instead work on what the rest of us do. Ads, shuffling money around, and selling computers. I like to get paid a lot for not doing a lot so that’s why I’m in the latter category but I do see the appeal working for Tesla, SpaceX, or Starlink.
I worked at SpaceX to check it out. It wasn't for me and the pay was pathetic, but it's awesome. Everyone is an expert, who passionately loves what they're doing. It feels like you're working in a world class institute. I have never been surrounded by a group of people so brilliant and motivated to move technology forward. It's beyond words how unbelievable the group of people is who move SpaceX forward. If you can put up with the hours and stress, it might be worth it. Some people will thrive in that environment. Now I make 4x as much working with comparatively a bunch of idiots resting and vesting on fake impact. But I work for $ so it's ok.
Why would you not want to work on the satellite system that is connecting the world? Like pay sucking and crappy wlb is a good excuse but I don’t see what Elon has to do with it
When looking to join a new company you have to look at indicators to get some idea of what your experience will be like and the actions and attitudes of leadership are a big one. I wouldn't have worked here after some of his actions - especially after publicly treating Twitter engineers like shit.
Not everyone's a snowflake like you lmao. A lot of people wanna work for someone as innovative and exciting as elon. Whatever you think about him, the man has taken 4 companies to over 100b do you realize how crazy that is
