Hello, I'm interested in moving to London and I would like to know which companies besides Facebook, Apple and Google could be interested in sponsoring a work visa? I'm already waiting for output of an interview with Facebook, and Apple/Google had not contacted me, so I would like to know about more options in case FB says no. The idea would be to identify companies that can pay £80k+ in TC for an engineer with 3.5YOE.
London Tech pay is ridiculous. The management doesn’t see the value in SWEs yet.
Probably because all the interesting projects are in HQ, which are mainly in the US.
But out of US you have nowhere to go 😭 but London
There are numerous companies that would sponsor visas. Just update your LinkedIn profile with "looking for opportunities" with London as one of locations and within next couple of days you'll get contacted by an army of third-party recruiters.
From adidas to big tech might not be easy no?
MagicLab is hiring
Could you please tell us ranges or some reference about how well MagicLab pays engineers? And maybe a little bit about WLB?
Approx £70-120k base for E3-E5, where E3 is SWE, E4 is Senior SWE, E5 - tech lead. +bonus 10-30% yearly. Great benefits/office (WFH till 2021). Can’t compare to FAANG, but WLB is great as it feels for me, hear the same from friends, but this topic is quite subjective anyway. Very product focused company: you work on something users really see and use — communication skill to collaborate with other teams/colleagues is important for e4-e5.
