Extract from article: “Average London rents are approaching 80% of residents' average monthly pay, as prices head past the £2,000 mark. The average salary of a London resident is just over £41,000, according to recent data published by Statista. After tax, this comes out to around £2,600 a month. Brexit was the last nail in the coffin of “British Empire”.
Their Geostrategic priorities do not align with continental Europe.
Very much enjoying watching their decline, but thanks for all of the independence days I suppose.
And this is why London should be avoided at all costs. England as a whole, along with the rest of the UK for that matter, isn’t what it used to be. For the same price as the average rent payment (and possibly more) you can rent or even own a 3be/2ba here in the States in a LCOL or MCOL area without many of the issues that come with living in a declining city. Of course, that comes with the issues of suburbia and car dependence, but it beats being in a congested city any day of the week. TC: 90K
London is pretty comfortable when it comes to big cities. Amazing food, lots of outdoor areas, decent transportation, and I live in a 2b2b for about 2k a month.
Where do you stay @shimbo ? I may be moving there soon
