Whenever I use my company’s coach/shuttle, and many times when I share a Uber/Lyft with other people, there are people making long phone calls (30+ minutes and even 1 hour) in languages I don’t understand, Curious what topics people are talking over these long phone calls. Have never asked. Since people are making long phone calls in public places, I guess they are not very private. Are these typically family stuff or work stuff? It looks like people with families have a lot to handle.
They're talking about nunyadamnbinness
Just work or family. Very regular mundane life.
It kind of scares me that having a family will sometimes need long phone calls during commute. Seems very very busy
they are probably calling their parents overseas. commute is the perfect time
Or how about those people having a call while on the toilet in a work or public bathroom. I can never understand these people when I hear them in the stall next over. Why do that and share all those bathroom noises? Yuck.
As long as they don’t occupy the stall for 1 hour? It’s better for intelligence gathering if you can understand
Have you ever had a long phone call before?
My long phone calls are mostly private calls so I do them at home. During commute maybe a call is not so private
It is though because you clearly can’t understand it
Probably 2 Leetcode mediums over a 45 minute period in Lua or Erlang or something Edit: time unit
45 hour?!
Change the language and every public place is a private place.
You gotta make sure you don’t have people speaking the same language as you do around
