L1 visa does not allow bearers to work for anyone else other than the sponsoring company. Are there loose methods for earning extra income on an L1 visa despite the above?! Please share!
Passive incomes? Open source. Maybe Udemy? Maybe youtube channel. Or even under the table tutoring. Plenty of options.
I might be wrong but YouTube and online tutorials are illegal for work visa holders as far as I know
You can file outside the US :) nothing is against that. I donât think USCIS is going to hunt down someone who films a YouTubr video and suddenly gets 1M viral views over night.

Whatever it is you're earning extra income from, they can send you 1099 form and then IRS will know for sure. As L1 visa holder you cannot have multiple sources of income either in the US or abroad. Nope. I suggest maybe tutoring and get paid in cash.
Robinhood also provide 1099. Per you, I shouldn't be doing that too?
But don't get on the apps and start earning money there, IRS has its ways.
