Hi all — currently I am working in the tax management industry as a contractor/business owner in California. While I’m good at it and make good money, I HATE it. My passion and background lies in podcast producing and I’m looking to get to decision makers. Applying to places like Spotify, Amazon, Wondery, and the like…can anybody out there throwing me a lifeline? Happy to send resume, clips, etc. THANKS!! #podcast #podcastproducer #spotify #wondery #amazon #apple

You could widen your net by applying to some smaller podcast networks! I’d give Headgum a try, seems like a great place to work
Thank you!!
Jake and Amir fan?? Day one here, todah
I can make intro and outro music! DM me ...let's get to work!
You need Jamie Vernon
As a director who would hire such a role, I ask you: What makes you better/stand out from all the other applicants? You are coming at this with a deficit. You are competing against folks who may have gone to school for marketing/advertising/audio production who would also have a tape/portfolio. Lord knows there are a million influencers asking for the same consideration. So… to be direct… why you? Truly not trying to be a duck, but this is what a hiring manager needs to see - and quickly - in your application. If you need to go back to school, please do. Even if you “already know what to do” l, it will provide you with the additional soft skills (giving and receiving feedback is a big one), Create a network of peers and leaders as well as hone your skills and abilities. So many people think they can “just do it” but it’s a career that needs education and experience - or at least one of them for an entry level job. These folks may throw your resume into the online recruiting tool at their employer, but you won’t be considered a serious candidate without having a value prop for the team.
So just for context, my background is in audio and content production, and I have been producing a podcast with a former NFL player for the last five years. In addition, I had my own PR firm and have experience in digital marketing and social media ads
Ahhh good! Then you understand my perspective. For me, I imagine that there are a lot of opportunities out there. It’s coming up on the end of the year, so some companies are holding off on hiring till the new year to ensure they have headcount. Marketing roles tend to be some of the first ones cut when financial issues hit a company - big or small, it’s a cost center so they see it as a means to save money. I’m sure it’ll just take time. Maybe start off at smaller places to build equity and then look at larger places. Build your network. Keep meeting folks and build your portfolio. Even with experience, there is a ton of qualified applicants - now you need to figure out how to stand out from the pack.
Try audible. They have a different career site tiu can search through than just the amazon one.
Why did blind just notify people about a post 4d old and with no interactions. Is blind allowing users to promote posts like Twitter? DM me your Resume and any job postings that you are interested in (at Amazon)
OP prolly just added companies to the post which blind then promoted to employees of those companies.
I will thank you!!
