I'm an international student currently on an F1 visa majoring in Finance at a non-target university in San Francisco, and looking to connect with investment banking professionals at bulge bracket firms in New York in the hopes of becoming an IBD Summer Analyst, and to learn from your experience in the industry. - Currently studying Finance at Minerva University, graduating in 2024 - Associate's Degree in Finance and Economics at Tsinghua University (Beijing), graduated in 2018 - IBD Summer Analyst at JP Morgan's Hong Kong Office, Summer 2018 - Financial Consultant at Sweden's Ministry for Foreign Affairs 2018-2020 - Originally from Argentina, but spent most of my life living abroad New York is a much more competitive market than Hong Kong, and since I'm coming from a non-target university, meeting investment bankers beforehand is gonna be really helpful during the recruiting progress. Any connections will be greatly appreciated!
I didn't even know Tsinghua have Associate degrees. Your best bet is to reach out to Tsinghua alumni. Plenty of them in IB. Why did you only get an Associate's? A Bachelor's from Tsinghua = fairly easy IB in HK or + any decent master's program in the US to break into IB in US. Your current school is a total head-scratcher. Literally on the perfect path to IB then fell off a cliff.

How big are the balls of Google to lay off thousands and then do 70 BILLION in stock buyback?
and why would some investment bankers working 80 hours a week want to meet you? what is so special about you?
