5 months in Redmond/USA. Looking to buy house with budget of ~800k USD. Will be commuting to MS Bellevue office 2 days a week. What locations to consider ? Though it is not very important to me, but looking for locality with Indians around as my parents would be frequently coming and staying with me. Edit - kid in 6th grade, so looking for areas with good middle schools TC 200k
Maybe try Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville, or Issaquah
800k in Issaquah? I wish
Maybe a townhouse in Issaquah, OP didn't specify SFH
Gold Bar? Duval?
Exactly. Also try a place with an amazing name - Startup, WA.
Renton
The only thing 800k will realistically get you in Redmond is a smaller 50yr old townhouse. Forget Bellevue entirely unless you want a condo
Sammamish or Snoqualmie Ridge
There is nothing close to Bellevue/Redmond in that price range. Either increase your budget or you have to look way up north like Everett or way down south in Renton/Kent
You can get a condo for that money
Check out Easton heights in Bothell. The homes are near Bothell temple. Lot of Indian community there. The homes are standalone SFH but zoned as condominiums. These are new homes priced 799k and above & they have some incentives on top of that price . They are decent. The homes fall under North shore school district which is a good one. Cons - some homes are closer to freeway. I considered this community but did not go ahead because I wanted to get a north facing house and the north facing one that I liked are closer to freeway. https://www.drhorton.com/washington/greater-seattle/bothell/easton-heights
Went to see these homes yesterday. The construction looks good, but not much of the open/uncovered area. Most of the lot size is covered by builtup area. But price is competitive for the location.
Wow you can buy a house with 800k in redmond? Can't even buy a townhome with 800k at a place that's 1h drive from vancouver
Sorry for confusion. I meant around Redmond area with commutable to office
