Are there any Tier-1/2 high paying companies in Los angeles /orange county region? if yes, what are the general TC?
Netflix
Silicon beach. Google, Snapchat etc
Thanks. What is approximate TC at these companies for 10-12 YOE ?
Idk for 10-12 YOE, but for google you can probably find similar salary’s for MTV and take off 10%
Snap
Snap google amazon airbnb
Tier2: ticket master hulu
Wow , didn’t know Ticketmaster is tier 2 . They pay like 80k for starting in az
Netflix is highest paying. Then you get into Hulu, Ticketmaster/LiveNation, Fandango (NBCU), which are probably not in the TC range you’re hoping for. YouTube/Google, FB, Apple, Salesforce all have outposts in LA. Those may be your best best, Disney, Sony, etc are not known as technology-forward orgs. Very traditional.
Thanks for the info

Google should be about 250k tc in Los Angeles for 10 years experience.
Man, these are some terrible replies, beyond the obviously correct listings of Google, Facebook (mostly Oculus), Snap, Netflix (tiny engineering presence), and arguably Amazon for tier 1 companies. Microsoft and Apple supposedly have engineers down here but it's probably not much better than Netflix. Tier 2 is something like: Tinder, Oscar, Cornerstone, TuneIn, Rival, Hulu, Houzz, Dollar Shave Club, OpenTable, and arguably places like Riot, Disney, and SpaceX. I think we also have an Oracle location. There might be a few other places that pay reasonably well, LA is a big city.
You forgot Pornhub & xVideos in your Tier 1 Einstein.
Feel free to contribute to the list if there's something big that I missed.

Hollywood doesn’t do tech? ILM, Disney, Dreamworks...
