Losing confidence in Immigration Voice

Anyone else out there smell something fishy about the way things are going with Immigration Voice ? There seems to be some weird Nexus between them and McClatchy. two weeks ago with no cited sources or official memo they claim H1B extension is going to get reinterpreted to deny extensions. And now McClatchy is again the first to report that USCIS/DHS is not going to do anything to H1B extension???? Sorry IV Team, I appreciate your efforts in helping the immigrant community with HR392 but do it in a clean fashion and be transparent and clarify.

I agree. Something is not right with IV.

I get it but who else is there to get things done? Final goal needs to be achieved, methods are not that important

Microsoft OxFEEDBEEF OP Jan 9, 2018

I disagree, this attitude is what led to the abuse of H1B from rouge consultancies and body shops

Well show me something that is a good alternative. Siia is a joke

I feel RAISE act would be more beneficial than HR392.

Apple Marijuana Jan 9, 2018

Me too, but RAISE will not get 60 votes in the Senate. It is dead on arrival.

Google Westchest Jan 9, 2018

May be IV should put more emphasis on RAISE than HR392

They actually claimed this on Dec 18, way before the media: https://soundcloud.com/immivoice/dec2017-getting-rid-of-h1-b I’m inclined to believe them when they say that USCIS was actually considering this.

What about the letter from Kevin Yoder and Tulsi? This letter made me think may be it was real news..may be not..no idea

Apple Marijuana Jan 9, 2018

It was definitely real news. USCIS started saying “we are doing a thorough review”, but then they changed to “no”. If it wasn’t real news, why didn’t they always say no?

Actually HR392 would be more harmful for US immigration. It will lead to India like wait times for rest of the world as well since Indians will be large number of applicants. Merit based immigration is more beneficial since it will only allow good people from all over the world to immigrate and get GC.
