Offer for Senior at Microsoft (Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond): Final offer: base - 160k signing - 25k RSU - 155k Revised offer: base - 156k signing - 25k RSU - 115k Original offer: base - 156k signing - 15k RSU - 75k Is this normal? looked on the low side according to level.fyi My current TC is closer to 250K. What parts can easily be negotiated?#
75 or 175? Sounds ridiculously low.
75K 😅
Is this per year or over 4 years?
75k RSU. Is this per year?
What level is that? 63 or 64? I know people who got 270+ for 63.
63
What’s the trick? I also got similar lowball offer for 63 with one of azure teams last year
What’s your current level and Yoe? Are you considering going at this price?
7 year, L5. Not planning to accept without serious improvements
That's just what microsoft like to do, first they trashed my interview performance, told me they will extend me an offer but will downgrade me to a level, then I was waiting for their final offer for a month, then they rejected me from the position via an official email. They were offering 125K based, 40k RSU, 15k sign on for L61.
This is a lowball offer. I got hired at 63 last yr with 150k base, 50k sign-on, 220k stocks. They initially tried to low-ball me with numbers similar to yours. I had another offer, so they increased. It also depends on how your interview went and how much they want you.
Ask for 325-350. Else, Walk away
Yeah, same happened with me but I had lot of personal reasons to move, corona was round the corner and worst i had no competing offer. I though know that I am gonna move next year
How much did you get in final offer?
You probably deserve this ?
I don't think so, just typical microsoft, all friends got lowball by MS and many of them got fb, google offer. So are they not competent, I don't think so. This seems typical microsoft.
Lowballed! Do not accept anything south of 350k! Try negotiating on RSUs. Do you have any unvested stock in your current org? Try and get that compensated in sign on bonus. Take the base to 175k.
Do they offer 350k TC on Senior position? Is it including sign-on bonus for first year? How much RSU can be expected per year basis? And how far I can go for sign on bonus? Is it dependent on org?
It is including sign on. Try to convert your unvested stock at amazon into sign on. 110k seems achievable. It is much more dependent on location and counter offers imo
