Medium TC, yes promo. So I guess it depends person to person. My experience has been this - for the first 6 months, things were awesome. Awesome team, a manager who advocated for me, promotion, and exposure to executives and clients. Then there was a reorg where things started to go to shit. Several of my teammates were outspoken about trying to preserve the great team and product we had before the reorg, but obviously this is IBM so it didn’t help. So basically a lot of us changed teams due to that and constant subsequent reorgs. I lucked out again I guess since my new team, product, and manager are great, and we have strong executive support which generally results in good things.
That blows. Shuffling is so confusing.
My experience has been shit. I was put into a team where most of the stuff was already done (did support work) and then after a year, I got my RA/lay off notice. I found a team within the notice and it's just as bad in similar ways. No growth, no promotion, and I feel dumber now than the way I came in because we always have an IBM way of doing things.

It has been good for me. Good tech in my team. Got a promotion this year. Though salary is not at par with faang companies but it is ok. But, yes if I get an opportunity to work in a company with better salary .. I would definitely join it given that it would have similar work life balance.
