What TC would you expect for this role? What base salary? Based on reading, seems like Lucid notoriously low balls, but I was wondering if leadership roles would be any different? Should I use Zoox, Apple SPG (read EV), Tesla TC as an appropriate basis of comparison?
250k 4M in RSU.
IC engineers are reporting only 105K in RSU. 4M seems like a stretch
Just a wild guess. 😅
I’m also applying for a leadership role and going into final round. Will let you know if I get an offer but heard about their reputation of low balling TC. My friend turned down an offer for a Director of Supply Chain. Base was 250. RSU was 165 over 4 years and they justified that with an expectation of big stock valuation growth over time, similar to Tesla movement. This was early 2021 and I’ve heard they’ve improved their TC to be more competitive. Their growth plan is super aggressive and they’re hiring a lot. Will keep you posted.
I appreciate the info. I will follow up. Is your leadership role director level? In engineering? HW or SW?
What was the outcome?
Director base should be 250k at least. Yes it makes sense to compare with the other companies mentioned
For director base is 240K, rsu 240K/ 4 years, anything more than this needs CEO approval
That seems very low for a director of engineering. I expect to get an offer but I wouldn't even entertain the conversation at that base.
It depends, how you negotiate and what level of influence/relationship you have with svp or ceo. I have seen few directors with even 270K.
I can tell you most the directors at canoo are around $240 - $270K
$650k-750
What are you basing that on?
