Hello, I was offered T5 role in Lyft. The recruiter said there is no target bonus as such and based on performance there would be incentive in the form of equity. Would really want to know from Lyft folks on what you get in the form of bonus other than base and annual grant. Offer details: Base 200k Equity 210k Sign on 60k San Francisco 11 YoE Thanks, in advance.
200 Base, 210 base equity, 60 sign-on, San Francisco, 11 years. Annual grant is targeted at base equity( they do not give 4 year grant. Instead they give for 1 year with vesting every quarter.)
Thank you, I would prob edit your post with this info
From my Lyft friends I've only heard of base salary increase and annual grant
Remember, bonus is taxed at 50%.
Lol
Wrong. Please don't spread these rumors. Withholding for bonus may be different but it gets taxed like normal income in the end.
No bonus but if your rating is better than meets, you get more equity next year. Also can negotiate a bit more on both base and equity
What would be a fair ask in that case?
Offer is good. They ll ask another offer to go above.
Nope there's no 50% . Employers might withhold more %
Initially they offered 200, 200, 50. Later after negotiating they added 10k each in equity and sign-on. But in base they were adamant. I had 2 offers from startups but they are nowhere close from equity perspective. So really not much to negotiate.
Good offer. 60k is not a cash bonus right?
10k cash, 50k equity
Is T5 swe or Ds? And is 210 equity per year??
This is for T5 SDET. Yes 210 equity per year
Nice
I am at 215 base and 260 stock at T5
When did you join?
Quite some time before COVID
Does bonus matter at all? Me (Lyft) and a friend (Uber) of mine joined at same time. I got 200k equity. Uber offered him 27k performance bonus but equity was 160k. In the end, both our offers are same.
Absolutely it does not matter.
