Lyft onsite cancelled (L4 SWE) - why?
I started interviewing with Lyft for L4 SWE role - after clearing the phone screen, I got invited for onsite. Today (after ~2 weeks) got an email from the recruiter that - "there was a change in our roles at the level we were considering you for and they have the role has been repurposed to support another initiative at Lyft." Wonder what this means? Hiring freeze? Layoffs? Can anyone at Lyft explain, or help with a referral? I would appreciate it. #lyft #softwareengineer #sanfrancisco #tech #lyftcareers
Need for roles change all the time. Could be for an infinite number of reasons.
Lyft and uber will be struggling for sometime :)
They are still leading the ride-hailing market.. at least in the us.. i was so looking forward to it

There could be reorg happening... Might be best to observe from the sidelines
I would say this is a good thing. Better this thing happen before interview instead of after interview or joining team.
