Lyft referral gone wrong
I asked for a referral for Lyft here on Blind and someone offered to helped. We DM'd and I sent my email, LinkedIn, resume, and position link. They said they referred me but the system said I was already in the system or something. I've never applied to or been contacted by Lyft. How is this possible? I haven't gotten an email from Lyft after they said they refered me. What should I do next? Apply online? Thanks in advance.

It’s fine, greenhouse says the candidate is in the system all the time. I think recruitment team is overloaded right now and it takes them longer to get in touch with referees.
You were probably “sourced” and entered into the system by a sourcer from LinkedIn scrubbing.
