I have an upcoming interview with Lyft for a software developer position. I'm wondering what kind of salary I should aim for. During the phone screening I managed to get a low end estimate from the recruiter, 130k TC for a level 3. She said I'd be somewhere between a L3 and L4. For any Canadian employees at Lyft, what should I be asking for? Please don't comment unless you've worked in Canada, pay is a lot different here. #software #swe #engineering #lyft #salaries #canada

We hire engineers in Canada?
There were a couple of postings in Montreal
Yes, I think that sounds about right. Base should be about $90-100K if you’re starting fresh with 1-3yrs of exp.
Check levels.fyi. You're currently in Canada OP?
I'm in Canada. There is practically no data for Canada. It's hard to compare to the U.S, cost of living is a lot higher there and the salaries in general are a lot better than here.
I disagree. The cost of living in Canada is higher than most US cities yet the pay here is atleast 40% low compared to US
I’m not in Lyft. But you can ask for +20k what they provided to you. And start negotiation.
In CAN I got offered 110k as a new grad (admittedly that's not the norm)
Also I'm not in Lyft
Mind sharing the company name?
Same level here! Which TC did you end up with?
