Why do Blinders congratulate corporate entities
Eventually they will have to start charging profitable fares and actually compete with taxis instead of blowing investor money on trying to gain market share.
The biggest expense in taxi business is the driver's compensation. I think the end game for these big taxi companies is to wait it out till self driving taxi fleet are a reality and then they are strongly placed to benefit from that.

Same, I deleted Uber long time ago
I never liked using Lyft as a consumer and I think they didn't do a good job marketing it as the "general public/local neighbor" marketing vs. Uber's exclusive (ex. Uber black) marketing strategy.
The whole ride sharing business model is a joke. Including what airbnb does too when you have infinite access to capital, everyone gets winner winner đ dinner, not in this economy
The founders have said that it was coincidental. For what itâs worth, Uber was not the first in the world with the concept.
