He has been wrong a lot lately. Gold prices go down eventually when the economy starts up and fires on all cylinders.

You honestly don't think they ran it by him before buying? Especially given his public stance on gold before? I highly doubt someone can just buy 0.5 billion of any asset without Warren's OK.
He said in many occasions that his money managers operate independently without his permission. I don’t have a reason to doubt it. .5 billion is too little for him to lose sleep over.
He hasn't beat s&p500 for many years now. Would stop treating him like some God unless you want to underperform
