Isn’t it because they’re getting paid for equity at a peak tech moment even before they go public? It’s like getting free severance and the opportunity to go looking for something new.
Glh5.
Is it like clubhouse?
More or less.
My personal theory is they wanted to shed jobs and trim down the company.
Are they hiring? I'm not a fan of politics in the office (aside from inevitable office politics).
Considering their entire iOS team have left they probably are!
Convincing the office Woke to quit en masse sounds like a great idea, but I doubt that 1/3 really felt that strongly about discussing politics at work. The severance must have been really good, or the company is heading downhill and people want to bail anyway.
More like wth is Basecamp?
Offering employees severance just for disagreeing, anyone who's confident they'll find their next gig easily will take you up on that. Having a stance is one thing, offering severance for that is invitation for trouble.
