https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/18/netflix-message-to-shareholders-focus-on-revenue-profit-not-subscriber-adds.html Check it out, it’s official. Netflix is no longer a growth company. That means we’re down to * Meta * Amazon * Google * Apple MAGA is here :( #tech
Most likely is AGA
goo goo GAA GAA
lmaoo
AMNGA
No one cares. Only Amazonians seem obsessed about FAANG or MAGA or MANGA.
true. Amazon crooks come across as self obsessed PIIP infested pricks
Replace Meta with Microsoft to keep a list of growth big tech. Will be debatable because of TC
I always assumed it was Microsoft 😂
Microsoft never in the same league. We only consider them during retirement
Neither is Meta.
Should be MASHA. Salesforce should be in there as it got the biggest building in SF
And it's beautiful too.
It's not about the building size, it's about how you use the floor space
Do you not listen to the earnings call? Sub growth is still huge and a major focus for the company. Only change is growth is now coming from multiple streams in addition to subs. Sub data is still going to be available, it’s just not the holy grail of metrics. Netflix isn’t going to be a one trick pony anymore. But we got a lot of growing and learning in areas of ads, content creation and gaming. We’re late to the game on ads so we better scale up fast. Luckily, we’re not reinventing the wheel too much.
who’s the M?
There’s two uses for FAANG. The original reason was as growth tech stocks. But the reason most blinders want to work at FAANG isn’t because of investing, but about resume and TC padding. Let’s face it, having a FAANG company on your resume is a door opener. (This isn’t to say there aren’t other high tech company’s in a similar category. Most recruiters have a pretty good idea of overall skill level at the most known tech companies). But having FAANG can open up an entirely new world, especially if your starting out your career. Getting that $100k initial boost out of the gate functions as a compounder over your whole career. It can be worth many millions when all is said and done.
Netflix is doing like 8 Dave Chapelle specials. They’re the anti-woke poster child
Gettin real tired of the “go woke go broke” trope. There’s all kinds of shows on Netflix, stop letting the woke ones keep you up at night and depressed.
